The Costa Brava has a wonderful trail which reaches from north of Barcelona to France. Its primary along the coastline, though at times it reaches up into the coastal range where mountain bikers and runners share the route.
The aqua waters of the coves hold mystery in their color and depths.
There are botanical gardens along the southward facing crest of the bluffs above the Mediterranean.
The trail dips down to cafes and bars beside the sea.
Lloret de Mar has a very exotic cathedral in the center of town, while seashore a block away had surfers soaring across the crest of the waves a block away.
There are many walkway tunnels along the Costa Brava Camins de Ronda trail.
I met a local woman who invited me to her home for a cup of soda and a pleasant conversation.
The town of Tossa del Mar with its spectacular medieval fortress.
The trail was rather well worn here! I had to straddle walk it.
There were many inlets with swimming holes along the Costa Brava.
Between close costal towns the path was built out with viewing platforms.

This section of ‘trail’ was along the coastline circling around small outcrops and headlands between the sandy beaches.
The final town I reached, where I went for a very quick swim in the frigid waters, in culmination of my journey along the Mediterranean seashore of Spain.
